KY-MANI MARLEY TALKS TO ILONA IN AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW IN SPAIN
Last time inews24.co.uk saw Ky-Mani Marley was at the Rototom Sunsplash in 2011*. This time Ky-Mani Marley caught up with Ilona just minutes before he was to appear on the stage of Barcelona’s Sala Apolo as part of his 2014 European Summer Tour about the forthcoming release dates and what to expect of his new albums, the message of his song „Armed & Dangerous“, the new Reggae youth, control and what music the ones in power do not want us to listen to.
Speaking to us in an exclusive interview before his Catalan show, Ky-Mani Marley said:
„In order to control us, first you have to control the mind, you know? So, if the mind is not one of the revolution, if the mind is not one of free spirit and free will, if the mind is willing to be -what I would say now- to be ruled by others and to be told what to do, then that is what, who is ruling, would like. You know something easy to control. So when you have got music like Marley and when you have music like for instance out of America, rock, music such as Tupac, people that want you to better yourself, you know what I mean, and to stand for something or to fall for anything, you know? Well, those are the music that they don’t want us to listen to.“

Ky-Mani Marley’s new album titled „Rasmantic“ will be out this October and it will be followed by another roots album „Evolution of a Revolution“ in the beginning of 2015.
